1. this is my current understanding and opinion, which may change over time.
2. i do not ask or expect others to necessarily adopt it.
3. a. i do not ask others to either support hamas, or not support hamas.
b. i do not ask others to support the idf and iaf.
4. i support the legal right of resistance by any means to any unlawful occupation.
5. under international law - as a military wing of a duly elected government under occupation - hamas are indeed correctly designated as freedom fighters, not terrorists.
6. i find any killing highly distasteful, and to be avoided wherever possible.
7. the murder of unarmed civilians, when one is armed, is always wrong.
8. the killing of armed civilians, should be avoided wherever possible, except in self-defence.
9. the murder of surrendering civilians is always wrong.
10. the murder of surrendering soldiers is always wrong.
11. the murder of hostages, prisoners of war, or general detainees or prisoners is always wrong.
12. the torture and harassment of hostages, prisoners of war, or general detainees or prisoners is always wrong.
13. i reject and hold in contempt any proven acts of terrorism of civilians, by hamas, islamic jihad, or any other organisation or nation, whether they be a proscribed terrorist organisation, or not.
14. i condemn all actual acts of proven and clearly evidenced terrorism of civilians by hamas, islamic jihad and palestinian civilian men, which took place on october 7.
15. i condemn all actual acts of proven and clearly evidenced terrorism of civilians that has occurred since october 7, by either side.
16. i strongly condemn israel for committing innumerous acts of terrorism and extreme harassment of gazan, west bank, lebanese, syrian and yemenese civilians, as well as israel's innumerous war crimes, extensive human rights abuses and destruction of civilian homes and civil infrastructure, particularly since october 8.

Agreed. Just like my parents in WWII , I support armed resistance against an army of occupation.
Well said. Totally agree. But with a qualifier, all claimed atrocities and terrorist acts by the Palestinian Resistance must be proven by independent investigators because Israeli/Zionist/Jewish sources cannot be trusted. The same should apply to charges made against the Israelis. A full independent investigation into Israel's foundation and occupation of Palestine since 1947 is required.
