‘Dear’ Sir Keir

I have thought about how to word this second letter to yourself. After sleeping on it for a few days, I decided that an absolutely direct letter and rebuke is required. I hope you have the humility to read every word, and will, therefore, think carefully and deeply about what I am saying, without dismissing it out-of-hand.

First of all, your clear allegiance to, and of support of, Israel is extremely angering, depressing and highly disappointing.

More importantly, it is also extremely dangerous - not ‘just’ for Palestinians - but also for the whole Middle East, the UK, Europe and the United States.

Kindly let me explain at some length why:

1. Genocide

You have repeatedly stated in the House of Commons that a genocide is not taking place in Gaza (as has David Lammy and a handful of other UK politicians from both sides of the aisle.) This is a frankly pathetic, utterly unacceptable and highly contemptible thing to say even once, let alone multiple times. This is particularly so, of course, when we are nearly fifteen (15) months into a blatant genocide, and indeed a Second Holocaust, by Zionist Israel in Gaza. This is not really even open to debate. It is indisputable. The huge mountain of evidence against Israel - both their innumerous violent actions and their self-condemnatory words - is irrefutable and extremely damning indeed. As a previous lawyer, it is utterly staggering and disgusting that you clearly do not know, or wilfully choose to ignore, the Genocide Convention’s Definition of Genocide, not to mention even just the dictionary definition!

The vast majority of esteemed and reputable experts, both legal and otherwise, and also numerous highly reputable international organisations have all clearly documented Israel’s innumerous war crimes and human rights abuses in Gaza and the West Bank, stating that a clear and utterly blatant genocide is taking place (and, indeed, has been taking place for well over a year now.)

Even a school child, or a first year student of Law, can easily see that not only has a horrific genocide been taking place in Gaza, and continuing to be carried out, but the level of destruction and child death and maiming is unprecedented. It is even proportionately far higher than even the first Nazi Holocaust. The civilian vs military casualty rate is at least 8 to 1, on average, if not worse. This doesn’t even include the relatively huge number of maimed and seriously injured or extremely traumatised civilians. Furthermore, around two-thirds of the casualties and injuries are children, women and babies, even when the likely relatively low number of Hamas fighters killed are even included in the statistics.

To continue to deny Israel’s brutal genocide is indeed now akin to Holocaust Denial, and this has been true for many months now.

2. October 7 2023

Your recent reference to October 7 in a response during PMQs was also highly uncalled for. It was a highly Israeli and Zionist Hasbara retort that has not born any water for over a year now. We all already know full well that Hamas strongly provoked Israel on October 7 (even though they only did about one third of what they were mostly slanderously accused of.) However, Israel’s almost immediate brutal and blatantly vengeful response was far, far worse than Hamas murders and hostage-taking. The IAF have dropped more bombs far more than the destructive power of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Dresden combined. The IDF have also further destroyed Gaza in almost every way imaginable. The very large civilian death and injury toll is totally unacceptable, particularly given civilians have blatantly been deliberately bombed and shot on numerous occasions. Israel’s continuously repeated claim of Self-Defence has been a hollow shell for over a year now. Israel have been blatantly punishing the whole Gaza and West Bank population for things Hamas did, and did not do, on October 7. That is called “Group Punishment,” which is not only extremely evil and immoral, but also very clearly against International Law and Human Rights Conventions. Indeed, it is also a definition of genocide itself, as is mass forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, starvation and the blocking of humanitarian aid and medical supplies.

The list of Israel’s war crimes and human rights abuse, both before and particular after October 7 is huge and extensive. There is numerous evidence, reporting, journalism, witness accounts and even blatant statements of intent in advance by Netanyahu, his War Cabinet, and various members the Israeli government. Not only do, but also many video, photographic, or oral confessions, of war crimes and human rights abuses by both the IAF and IDF in particular.

3. Right to Resist an Occupation

As a lawyer previously, you must surely already know that the Palestinian people, including their military, have a LEGAL RIGHT to Resist their Occupation in any way they deem necessary to achieve their valid objectives of justice, fairness and equality, and do almost anything to stop the Oppression, harassment and murder of their people.

4. Legal position on Israel’s Self-Defence

As a lawyer previously, you should surely already also know that an Occupying Force, State or Country has NO LEGAL RIGHT OF SELF-DEFENCE. Furthermore, an Occupying Force, State of Country, also has NO LEGAL RIGHT OF INVASION. Guilty, or otherwise accused, Hamas fighters and certain Palestinian civilian men, could have been targeted or arrested without progressively attacking the whole of Gaza, making it almost completely inhabitable for the over two (2) million inhabitants. This very clearly, is not only illegal repeated MASS DISPLACEMENT and Mass Destruction of Civilian Infrastructure and supply lines, it is also blatantly highly illegal ETHNIC CLEANSING, clearly intended to force nearly all Gazan Palestinians into exile from their own homes, land and country. This would make them Refugees, with no allowed Right of Return, nor even any automatically allowed Visitation by Israel, just like after the 1948 Nakba.

5. Embargo

Rather than supplying weapons of parts to Israel, the UK, and the USA, and every other country, should NOT even be supplying Zionist Israel with anything, let alone weapons of warfare and civilian massacre.

Indeed, the UK, USA, and every country, should instead, morally and legally, be fully EMBARGOING Israel.

6. Sanction

Zionist Israel should also have been massively SANCTIONED by the UK, USA, and every other country. But, incredulously, they have NOT been SANCTIONED by even one significantly large country, to my knowledge.

7. Divestment

Every country, bank, university, and other organisation, profit-making or charitable, should have DIVESTED all or most of their Investments in, or Donations to, Israel.

8. Boycott

Israeli banks, companies and products should also be as fully BOYCOTTED, as much as possible, by other countries.

I realise that you will likely currently disagree with most, or possibly even all, of the above.

However, I am simply clearly and emphatically “speaking truth to power”, without either prejudice or favour to your position as a highly prominent, key member and representative of the UK Government.

I very strongly urge you to fully read, and think about deeply, and at length, and then also discuss highly seriously, and at length, the contents of this open letter to yourself.

I emphatically know, and am fully assured, that I am on the Right Side of History in both supporting and speaking up for the Palestinian people, and also condemning Israel for its brutal and horrific Second Holocaust and genocide in Gaza, and murders, crimes, unlawful detentions and human rights abuses in the West Bank.

I very, very strongly rebuke, encourage and urge you to cease being on the Wrong Side of History.

Hamas did many wrong and evil things in one day about fifteen months ago, but Israel are not only blatantly one of the least moral and evil armies and air forces in the World, if not currently the very worst, they have proven week after week, and month after month, that they Zionist Israel are most certainly NOT “the Children of Light”, nor are they “the Good Guys.” Indeed, quite the opposite, in almost every respect.

Finally, the Lebanese and Syrian questions are also two very important matters, but I admittedly do not have enough knowledge and expertise in these areas, so I will let others argue and speak on their behalf.
